Police in Sierra Leone have announced a reward of Le 10 million (about $ 1,000) to anyone who provides information leading to the arrest of the person(s) who allegedly broke into the residence of Justice Biobele Georgewill.
The Nigerian judge is in Sierra Leone leading one of three commissions of inquiry probing the former administration of Ernest Bai Koroma.
Among the items carted away were his laptop computer and an external hard drive which contained materials relating to his probe.
The police have mounted investigation into the apparent burglary and the guards who were assigned to the residence. Sources say only one of the three armed guards assigned to the judge’s residence was on duty at the time.
