A number of youths residing around the Lumley Babadorie axis have bitterly complained about how potential presidential candidate for Alliance Democratic Party (ADP) defrauded them over $8,000 which he collected from them on the pretext of procuring a visa for them to travel to the USA.
The angry youths claimed that sometime last year, they were approached by Kamarainba during his campaign trail and that as part of his strategy, he promised to send them to the USA once they had paid the amount which he described as ‘processing fee.’
The youths claimed that they forwarded their identification and other documents to Mr. Mohamed Kamarainba Mansaray when he requested for them but that since then, they are yet to travel to the USA and are yet to retrieve their money from Mr. Mansaray after several attempts.
“I believe that this man is a criminal and is just using politics as a cloak to defraud unsuspecting people,” said Fallah Rogers, adding that he is disappointed and is now convinced that Kamarainba is a mere hustler who struts around brandishing the political baton as a weapon to fleece his victims.
As all of this is going on, it could be recalled that Kamrainba recently lost woefully to the All People’s Congress (APC) at the recent bye-election in constituency 050 Port Loko District. His party however managed to defeat the SLPP by hundreds of votes.
However, our efforts to cross-check with Kamarainba for his reaction were futile as he was said to be unavailable. We shall keep on trying.More details next edition.
