Foday Conteh, Yanku Kamara, Osman Kamara, Thaim Kamara and Amara Kamara all of Kaffu Bullom Chiefdom are the first set of people to be arraigned before the newly transferred Magistrate Sahr E Kekura.

Arrested With Handcuffs

They are in Court for Riotous Conduct, Disorderly Behaviour, Throwing Missiles, Public Insult and Provocation.

Most of these Accused Persons are either Aspirants or Members of the Ruling APC Houses for the Foronguya Section Chieftaincy Contest.

They were being drag to Court by the Senior District Officer in Port Loko- Mr. Abdulai Mansaray. The Police Prosecutor-Inspector Nbaimba Sillah said, the incident occurred at the Office of the Senior Officer on 24th. February 2016.

On their first appearance, the Court was informed that the 4th. Accused Person- Thaim Kamara was unwell and admitted at the Government Hospital in Port Loko where he was undergoing medical treatment. Even though the remaining 4 Accused were in court, no plea was put to them.

According to Magistrate Kekura , the Matter cannot be started because of the absence of one of the Accused Persons. He was however able to demonstrate that he is no nonsense Magistrate when he slammed a stiff bail of 10 Million Leones bail to each of the Accused Persons presents.

He said the hospitalised Accused must come with documents certified by a Medical Doctor to confirm that he was really sick and admitted in hospital. The matter was adjourned to next Monday.

Magistrate Kekura went further to inform the general public that the Court starts at 10 am. and that all those who have matters should endeavour to be on time.

He also used the chance to advise Court goers to be properly dressed and ensure that they either put off their mobile Phones or Silence them so as not to distract his Sessions.

The Magistrate said he is here to work and will not tolerate requests to stand down Matters only for the late arrival of either Complainants or Witnesses.
