Reliable sources has revealed that the Northern Regional Office of the Anti- Corruption Commission is currently investigating a senior official of the National Minerals Agency (NMA), Yusuf Suma, who was the Northern Regional Manager of NMA but has been transferred to Freetown.

The very credible sources close to the ACC North said that Mr. Suma is being probed regarding the mining transaction between the NMA and the Sella Limba landowners Mining, Agriculture and Construction Company operating in partnership with the Sierra Leone Minerals (SLM).

Sierraloaded gathered that the ACC investigators have already obtained statements from Mr. Suma and the Country Director of SLM-MIACCO, Santigie Kabba Samura and witnesses have been invited to make statements.

Stakeholders in Sella Limba Chiefdom in Bombali District have hailed the ACC for probing into the NMA’s role in the conflict as many are with the strongest view that the improper and corrupt arrangements of the agency have been contributing immensely in triggering and fueling the sporadic violent clashes between the AMR Gold Exploration Company and SLM- MIACCO, a situation which they believe has been jeopardizing the peace and development of the chiefdom and undermining its socio-economic development.
